The National Association of Black Journalists, Sacramento is a nonprofit organization representing media professionals in the Greater Sacramento region. Our mission is to empower, educate, and elevate Black media professionals. We are committed to advancing diversity and equity in newsrooms, amplifying authentic stories about the Black community, and mentoring the next generation of communicators. Through advocacy, training, and collaboration, NABJ Sacramento strives to build a stronger, more inclusive media landscape—one that reflects, informs, and uplifts the communities we serve.

Membership Options
Members get exclusive access to membership meetings and professional development workshops that help them stand out in their respective newsrooms and organizations. In addition, members gain a community who supports and advocates for them in times of need.
Professional Membership $50
For full-time working journalists, photojournalists and journalism managers.
Media-Related Membership $40
For retired and current public relations professionals, content creators, communications and marketing professionals, journalism educators, and part-time journalists and freelancers.
Student Membership $20
For high school, college/university students who are majoring in journalism, communications or any media-related field. Current student ID required for enrollment verification.
